On June 27 at the Albert G. and Sara I. Reuben Community Room at WFYI during the joint annual meeting of CICOA’s Board of Directors and Foundation Board, CICOA presented their Impact Award to United Home Healthcare.
Peter Ritz, out-going chair of the CICOA Foundation Board, presented the 2017 Impact Award to Byron Harris of United Home Healthcare. The Impact Award honors an individual or institutional donor whose philanthropic contributions to CICOA have made a significant and positive impact on program service delivery or encouraged greater support of the agency from others.
United Home Healthcare has been a donor and partner with CICOA since 2011 with sponsorships supporting CICOA’s annual Signature Breakfast fundraiser and Safe at Home event acheter viagra en ligne. With contributions of more than $81,000, United Home Healthcare has helped 174 households with fall prevention and home accessibility modifications. Co-owners Byron and Laura Harris lead their employee team in their hands-on involvement on Safe at Home event day. CICOA noted that United Home Healthcare’s title sponsorship of Safe at Home has demonstrated their dedication to CICOA’s clients and Central Indiana.
In addition to United Home Healthcare’s support for home accessibility modifications, during the holidays last year, we collected blankets, socks, and teddy bears for distribution to clients as part of our Warmth for Seniors project. The generosity of all that participated touched more than 70 CICOA clients and brought smiles to the faces of both seniors and children alike. It was a great collaborative effort.
